I first started taking lessons from Ron in 1996, I started playing golf in 1976. I was a good golfer, a single digit, and was having trouble with lower back pain and my golf swing was causing it. I was watching Ron teach and what he was teaching really interested me, the idea of start left stay left. The whole system was new to me something I'd never seen before. When I started taking lessons from him and learning the system, I found it helped me with my accuracy with both my irons and my drive. My back pain went away. I started hitting my driver further than I have ever hit it, and what golfer doesn't wanna hit the ball further. Passive hands was something I had never heard before, I learned to swing through the ball not at it. I've been with Ron now over 15 years, an his knowledge of the golf swing never ceases to amaze me.
Whether you are a beginner or someone like me who is just trying to get better I recommend you give Ron a listen to... you'll see what I'm talkin about.

Ron del Barrio has a method that works for everyone!! It doesn’t matter what your physical restrictions are to start. I myself have a ruptured disc in my back and Psoriatic Arthritis and before I met Ron I couldn’t imagine golfing, never mind shooting low scores. HE CAN HELP YOU!! Now, after what Ron has taught me I consistently score in the low 80’s. I even shot a respective 76 and 78 in the last year. Ron will have me golfing WAY into my later years thanks to his Passive Golf Swing.

I have been working with Ron del Barrio for close to thirty months. After every lesson, I walk away utterly amazed at the quality of his teaching and at the depth of his understanding of that which he teaches. Ron is one of those people who could teach almost anything. He has that certain rare ability to communicate via physical demonstration and verbal imagery. Phrases like “shock the body” and “fool the brain” are prominent parts of Ron’s teaching vocabulary. Indeed, he is somewhat of a fountain of creative ideas, all of which are dedicated to his students’ learning whatever facet of golf technique or strategy that he is teaching at a given moment or during a given period.
I always appreciate his tunneled vision and his concentration during lessons. There are no phone calls, no conversations with passers by and no wasted time. He is totally devoted to his students’ needs and instruction. Sometimes, I receive e-mails from Ron wherein he reiterates certain ideas that I should concentrate on during my practice sessions or wherein he hints at where “our journey” (his phrase) is headed in the coming weeks.
Ron teaches some very big names on the PGA Tour along with professionals on lesser tours. He also works with highly accomplished college players and serious high school players with high aspirations and disciplined work ethics. In general, my observation is that almost all of Ron’s students are highly motivated to learn what golf is about and to subscribe to his system of technique and execution.
Ron is a delight to work with and has been, for me, a marvelous teacher of both golf concepts and other generalized athletic concepts. He is a treasure for those who decide that the time and discipline involved in learning the game of golf are worth the eventual rewards.

Ron: Thanks for saving my game and my mind. As I've gotten older (52) I've lost the ability to make a full turn and follow through - while keeping my head back & down. A plethora of evil shots (Big blocks or snap hooks had been my faults) Once I started releasing my head as one movement with the rest of my body, my game returned! I so wish I had known about this teaching 30 years ago.
